Correction is not criticism. Thank you for noting. Also note that you can edit posts, if you didn't already know. My apologies if the tone you are reading this in was not the tone in which it was written. -

@thordis Glad to help! If you haven't found it yet, it's usually on the three-dot menu at bottom right. But everyone uses a different app (I use Pachli) so it might be different on yours.

I'm definitely other. Born almost 18 years after the end of WW II, I have a hard time considering myself part of the Baby boom.
The term "Generation Jones" was coined for people born 1954 -1965, but I'd go for "Generation Clash", because everybody who was there knows that The Clash was the only band that mattered.

@PermaSolarPotter @david_kehm @thordis I and the people I know don't accept gen X as an identity. There was a rationale for commenting on the baby boomer generation as a distinct thing, but gen X and later are arbitrary, and regardless using it as an identity instead of discussion of the environment the group experienced is nonsense.
The manufactured history of labeling generations seems to be taking hold now and people are identifying themselves and others with their generation.@kevingranade @david_kehm @thordis I find that when I’m around other ppl my same gen, we can relate based on things like movies, bands, things like that. It even happens with strangers who I have little in common with otherwise. I never considered that other ppl don’t have that experience.

@thordis I'm an older Gen X, born just a couple of years into that cohort. I have to watch myself for Boomer tendancies.
