I am a disabled person with very little energy, which is used for the most basic things in life... so adding organization things to my life it won't unfortunately work for me. (^_^)*

I also live a fairly isolated life and have very few "real life" contacts left, so "people around me" counts as me...and my partner.

If I had the energy, I would try to usher change. But my lot seems to be to just make it day to day.

Where shall the resources be taken from?

We have laws to reduce the energy use on headlights on cars, because we need to conserve energy.

But 7 "AI data centers" is ok?

Who would want to invest in projects that have no viable way to make money?

Apart from the circular investments between the players in the AI circus turning this into an unsustainable bubble that must burst soon.

Unsustainable capitalism isn't ok, just because it is in Europe.

Politicians need to understand the practical implications of this. Not just fancy words by corporations eager to squeeze more money out of EU.

Following the lead of the ogreish country screwing you over by building these monstrosities yourself that will damage the environment and harm your citizens is, let's say, a peculiar move.

We need full stack cloud services for crying out loud! So that we don’t have to host our essential services in the US. We need DNS, we need right to repair, we need email services, we need opensource public code, we need boring things, not shiny water guzzlers.

Apparently there's 30 billion euro left over that can be invested in the housing crisis many countries have right now, but instead it is being used to create power-hungry, water-hungry datacenters for the purpose of... mass-scale copyright infringement and making knowledge a commodity to be sold.

Does that sound right to you? I know I wouldn't want to be responsible for doing this much damage to the world and the people trying to live in it.

Sovereignty yes, but definitely not at cost!
