- it's okay. a crow is a pretty big and cool bird, too@schratze I like crows. They are beautiful and have this fearless non-nonsense attitude. When I'm living on the country in a few years, I intend to befriend them (even if the cats won't like it).

I see crows all the time, bigger than pigeons, smaller than seagulls. I don't have a mental image of the size of a raven. I'm tempted to say seagull sized, but now as I type I recall "seagull" is like twenty different species and my local seagulls might not be at all like any of yours. Big enough that you could imagine one eating a whole pigeon

Corvus is latin for raven and means all birds of the genus corvus. Crow is a synonym for corvus. And raven is generally used for big crows.

i thought they were different, but this is saying they are categorizations of specific species?
