    @david_chisnall Not even that would convince Americans to clean properly with a bidet.

      @david_chisnall
      Could Canada not simply close the Welland Canal? All eight locks are located in Ontario and operated by the Canadian side, as far as I understand.

      I genuinely wonder what the economic consequences of that would be for the United States. How much of the U.S. economy — and how many Americans — depend on goods being transported through the Great Lakes–St. Lawrence Seaway system?

          @david_chisnall

          speculation:

          I was unable to find really comprehensive numbers on manufacture of TP across the globe.

          but afaik, Can supplies about 6% of US market, so it *has to be true that given a few weeks notice, the US supply chain could source TP from other countries

          A sudden halt to all shipments would lead to spot shortages, which would be amplified by news and social media into a HUGE problem which would lead to panic buying

          a positive feedback loop on steroids

                  @david_chisnall Trump wouldn't notice, he uses diapers. Got a diaper export business you can tariff ?

                  Bidet sales would skyrocket again though

                    @MThaastrup @david_chisnall Might that not give the Orange Skinned Friend of #Epstein a "good" reason to occupy part of Ontario?

                    You know, like a three day Special Military Operation?

                    IMO it would be harder to justify a SMO if it was only toilet paper that suddenly got a lot more expensive.

                    Although bogroll getting dearer still might be enough of an excuse for Trump.

                    By the way, has #Trump released the #epsteinfiles yet?
