He lost another 1210 soliders today.
For a long time I wondered if Russia had prostetics for all the wounded… but then I saw numerous videos of Russian soldiers executing their wounded.
And I wondered if Russia could find coffins for all the dead, but then I read that Russia is not even bringing all the dead bodies home.

@randahl I seem to remember that early in this conflict the Russians sent mobile cremation ovens out to the front. The thing that bugs me is that in a country of about 130 million people you can't hide the loss of a million men with any amount of propaganda. This is the level where everyone knows of people never coming back. And they can't replace that level of equipment loss (albeit much of it obsolescent) without putting other factories on a war footing, creating shortages.

@cruftyold @randahl @mkoek That approach has Hitler's undoing and Britain's salvation in WW2. That single decision to open an Eastern front, bogged down so many of the Nazi forces, who found themselves confronting an unfathomable wave of human bodies.

@christineburns @cruftyold @randahl @mkoek Let’s not forget that those Russian soldiers were equipped with allied (mainly US) tanks and ammo.
