Most folks don't quite see it as I do. If it hadn't been for Malcolm, MLK would have been ignored, folks in power realized they had a choice & one didn't look too promising.

Any advice for our ridiculous CA governor primary where we're all just going to be voting to keep from having 2 MAGA choices in the general? It's beyond depressing. I wish I could use my vote like you say to push more to the left but seems like I'll just be using it to ward off disaster.
@crcollins @benroyce @retech so sorry...my son, daughter -in-law, their new baby & all her family live there... it's madness for your election & I have no advice other than to vote the best of the worst ...but I still say vote (I hope that I will be able to come out to visit them what with airline fuel shortages & crazy politics)

There are no pure capitalist ones either. They are all blends. Intelligent participation adjusts the blend for the better. There is nothing more privileged than calling for revolution, to burn it all down. Because you know you will survive. Want people to vote? Stop telling them their vote doesn't matter.

Vote in every election. Your school board is crucial otherwise Moms for Liberty wouldn’t send agitators and funding to push candidates with extreme right wing agendas. My tiny town of 4,000 has had to deal with this. It’s like this with every public office, they’re all important.

@A_Minion @DonChacale @Clutha @retech @benroyce @spreadthetruth Ghandi was 10 years before I was born. JFK is one of my earliest memories. I was five and saw my mom cry for the first time. I was already very political when MLK and RFK were killed. My ex wife was in the hotel as a 15 year old volunteer on RFK's campaign. I just missed the draft. Went to Vietnam and Cambodia in 2005.

@spreadthetruth @benroyce I can tell you that in a lot of small towns (I live in one, and was an elected official here for 16 years) there are people who really, really care, struggle to reach the voters, and are doing their best to make the world (and their town) a better place.

I've been in customer service in our family owned business since I've been nine. You cannot please all the people all the time as much as you want to But someone has to try it's never easy but I'm not ready to roll over and give up for the country and the people that I love.We can do better together

You're on. . Tho I doubt I'll get that far south if I did I'd flippin' melt. But that's ok, I got a couple of bottles of Ilegal Mezcal for xmas. One is in hiding for after midterms the other for '28. Something about positive thinking. .
To add to your "We Warned You" if you take apart their platform what they were trying to do was rebuild the economy of the time between WWII & 70's. Add the 5 bills the GOP trashed & we wouldn't have to beg for our dinner.
