We put the ducklings (who are almost fully feathered now and occasionally quacking) into the greenhouse and they are SO much happier! I should have done this earlier but didn't think of it. (Chickens can't be in the greenhouse because they will jump up and eat seedlings. But domestic ducks can't jump or fly, so perfect!)

@sundogplanets I have a funny story to share about ducklings.

Today I was returning home with my car (and trailer tent, different story) and near home the car in front of me stopped to let a mother and her ducklings cross the road (why did the ducklings cross the road?). Once passed, the car in front carried on. I however, noticed the ducklings were having a bit of trouble scaling the curb. One by one they were making it, but I wasn't too sure and was ready to help (probably a fool's errand, but hey, its the thought that counts). I then noticed to my horror a cat crossing the road too!! The cat was very interested in the ducklings! And checked them out... and then started walking off - chased off by all the ducklings trailing behind them! It was a hilarious sight and a good laugh was had. And they lived happily ever after.

I came for the astronomy, but stayed for the cute animals.

@sundogplanets I thought the US government had a huge campaign to teach everyone that ducks like cover.

So baby goats don‘t only get zoomies but spinnies, too. 🥰

@sundogplanets When I was a teen, my family had goats, just like yours. I love your goat posts they remind of that time. Thank you!

@blackpc I do purposefully handle them a lot as babies, so when I milk them or handle them for other reasons as adults, they enjoy the contact rather than being stressed out by it. Plus it's an excuse to make sure I hold all the baby goats regularly. Win-win!
