@CiaraNi
I can see wind! -
Edited because I saw that I'd called it a windymill in the Alt Text. Reluctantly edited, because I quite like the sound of 'windymill' and may call them that from now on.
Edited again because it turned out I'd spread Fake News in the Fediverse. Thanks to @sindarina for correcting my happy-amateur alt text that claimed that there was stone and metal involved in the windymill.

Alas, schools these days don't teach accurate windymillology.

@CiaraNi and there's already a Windy Miller!

@mothninja @CiaraNi Windy Miller works at the windymill!
-

@davidtheeviloverlord @CiaraNi As the granddaughter of a miller's son and a Dutch native, I have been properly taught, and must pass on The Knowledge at every available opportunity

@CiaraNi Windymill is lovely. In Scotland, standing washing lines are called "whirlygigs", which I also love.
-
@the_roamer Oh ta, nice, I'll be using that from now on

@CiaraNi I am here for #windymill

@mothninja I did not know that - I am pleased to meet Windy Miller. Thanks!

You do know, don't you, that our Lady Joan Mastodon referred to "windymills" when she wanted to tease Don Quixote, who in his second life had joined her fellowship:

@CiaraNi I rather like windymill, though that also implies there should be waterymill.

@davidtheeviloverlord @sindarina Such an oversight in the curriculum. I bet there's #Windymillology corner in the Fediverse. I shall seek it out to learn more.

@CiaraNi *charges*

@sindarina @davidtheeviloverlord I love that this is how you immediately knew such specific on-sight details about a traditional windmill. I also love that this is The Knowledge. It feels very Fediversey. Lots of people here have The Knowledge about something very niche and help out and share it when the need arises.

@the_roamer Lady Joan Mastodon and me and you, so. We'll keep the word windymill alive.
-
@CiaraNi I am here for #windymill
@urlyman It was a lucky typo - I am here for #windymill too.

This is what the internet should be.
