@TheBreadmonkey What a load of baubles
-
@TheBreadmonkey From a retail standpoint, that is a nicely organized display. But, yeah, a touch early.

@TheBreadmonkey In future years people will gather to celebrate a new midwinter festival to lift their spirits amid the endless gloom of perpetual Christmas.
-
@jtonline @TheBreadmonkey they usually are in the bakery section near me. Year round usually.
@Akki @TheBreadmonkey no way, I clearly have an inferior bakery section, or I'm just not observant enough!!!

It's Chriiiiiiistmas. Merry Christmas everyone.
@TheBreadmonkey Saw this last year in August, I think it's for the weirdos that watch Christmas movies in July and stockpile Ferrero Rocher all year round.

I sometimes wish there was a way to double boost or sort of super boost a post

@TheBreadmonkey Go away.

@eleanorrees @TheBreadmonkey yes! A release from the perpetual gifting.

@TheBreadmonkey @eleanorrees If quotes are allowed, I’ll sometimes do that as well and just sort of go “Bloody hell! Look at this!”

@eleanorrees @TheBreadmonkey
I like that, but there could be a reason to why -

@TheBreadmonkey Should be moved to either the 29th February or when there is a bright light in the sky, such as Halley's comet.
Not anti-Christmas, just think we should space it out a bit more to allow for additional recovery time.

@TheBreadmonkey This deserves a classic meme response.

@TheBreadmonkey they've put the chocolates out in August. Who the hell wants sad melted chocolate in their stocking?
-
It's Chriiiiiiistmas. Merry Christmas everyone.
@TheBreadmonkey It is way too early for the festive advertising. What I notice more though is you pay £12 (~$16) for a box of chocolate? What the fuck lol

Retail is still using the Tescorian calendar, which has twelve days of Christmas rather than just the one. Because of the overlap, holiday shopping will occur earlier each year until the calendars realign in 2049.
Then, an international body, the Christmoidal Calendriat, will retire the Tescorian calendar in favour of the more familiar Walmartian version.

@eleanorrees @TheBreadmonkey I think you’ll enjoy “Roy Wood is Watching You” from Viz if you’ve not see it.

@Grandpacore @TheBreadmonkey That chocolate actually contains cocoa. Real cocoa, not refined cocoa butter. It tastes amazing and has a wonderful velvety texture. Unlike some of the other products (oddly, all made by American owned companies) that taste like cardboard and have a texture like melting plastic.
You have to pay for quality. -
