@Remittancegirl I once served in the armed forces, we would every year undertake annual training, part of that training included the Law of Armed Conflict & the Geneva Convention. EVERYONE HAD TO PASS this part. No if or buts. All the rules are known. Israel & USA are breaking all of them. ALL. OF. THEM.

Not a lawyer but I am somewhat reasonably certain that by now their actions should fall under the legal principal of "oblique intent"? i.e. it doesn't even really matter anymore whether they "really wanted" to kill their victims or not, they should still be held accountable regardless

We with our best friend Palantir are targeting area X, you have 12 hours to leave area X, if for any reason you don't leave area X, then it's your fault when you get decapitated or killed, and by the way we have mercenaries with guns who are required to fire widely into the air when you try to get to water stations, but don't drink! Also, our highly precision weaponry double taps schools full of children, but not our fault!"

I once heard the Danish Ombudsman explain that in Danish law knowledge is more important than intent. If you knew that something could be the effect of your actions you're responsible for it, even if it wasn't what you aimed to do.
