i should be so much better at guitar by now than i am— how could i be so bad at this? worse than anyone else whoever tried to teach themselves? i was good at piano. why is guitar so hard? my hand can’t do it. strumming evenly is impossible. still fiddling with and fumbling the pick. Still can’t play a solid F chord. waaaa #guitar

Take heart. We all hate the F even after years of playing it.
The first 8 chords or so are easy and the learning curve all of a sudden becomes vertical. It kills many many learners.

@Mercurial how long is "by now"? If it's a week, don't worry. Twenty years, then maybe you need to look at how you're learning.
Tip to improve evenness of strumming, use a metronome to keep time and start slow.
