1) The first approximately 10 chords are easy, then the learning curve becomes vertical. It's not you.
2) Chords are not hand positions but relationships between tones.
3) So much depends on manual agility so if that's not your thing you will be slower. Be cool about it.
4) Yes, the guitar is a dexteronormative instrument. Live with it.
