@alex_p_roe It’s pretty clear that the only thing Trump heeds or respects is a ridiculous filmic show of force.
Criticism simply slides off him then festers underneath.
But Trump is not the only audience. It’s important to say something is wrong because the world is listening too.

@Remittancegirl @alex_p_roe @randahl This is true - but in addressing this secondary audience (which in this case is really primary), it's also important to make it clear that we're not being dupes, feebly pleading with a bully who is emboldened by simply ignoring us.
When talking at (!) Trump, one has to say things that make a difference to the problem at hand, whether he listens or not.
