This is also the first time I've ever used jeweler's sawdust to raise a stone in its setting. I've see this used by Navajo craftsmen in videos and bought some last year in case I ever needed it. It's common for some silversmiths to prop up a stone with pieces of plastic credit cards (really!) and I used to use copper. Nowadays, I try harder to get the bezel just the right height for the stone.
