Lifetime fan of Letterman, and never thought that anybody could fill his shoes. Colbert did an admirable job.

@GossiTheDog Colbert off the chain and Jack White is the most hilarious thing I've seen in ages... Chefs kiss.. no notes. For me, was actually heaps funnier than the late show :0)

@GossiTheDog @JonChevreau The lack if audience laughs means Colbert has to hold a lot more -- and he is at the top of his game here, blending relation, improv and line delivery. I reckon the advertisers on the show are taking care of MCM. Bravo! Our dog was very concerned about all our laughing.

@arisummerland He said they weren't going to use it anymore. Maybe Colbert donated a sufficient amount for an upgrade. It does seem a shame to burn things that could be repurposed.
