Hi I am new to Mastodon, I don't really know what I am doing here yet. Does anyone know of any cool nonprofits or gamedev people to follow? Currently my feed is just the internet archive. I love that, but it might not lead to a very satisfying experience.

Also I recommend putting in a profile picture. Just something you like from your recent photos, doesn't need to be anything particularly good as a profile picture. It will make people more likely to accept follow requests.

I want to second the suggestion for using hashtags. That's probably the fastest way to find like-minded folks and start feeling like part of a community. Some interesting people I follow are @grumpygamer @glassbottommeg @0xabad1dea @bitbraindev @foone @yiningkarlli
