edit: apparently I knew this already.

    Hej fellow kids! Life-question here.

WHERE DOES THE FRICKING WASHING POWDER GO?

For forever I have just kinda yeeted it half-and-half over tray 1 & 2. At times lazily experimenting by putting it all in one tray, then the other. At other times I forgot the powder in the first place, thereby being an environmental hero with slightly less clean clothes.

Honestly. I don't see much, or any, difference in whatever method.

    Please share your laundry wisdom.

@Pepijn right side is for the fabric softener, powder goes left.
If you put powder in right, you'll get powder residue after washing.

General washing machine rule: blue thing - fabric softener. Its used during the rinse.

@Pepijn I would like the record to show that I have answered this question about 45 times over the years since we got this washing machine.

@Pepijn You should consider marking the left tray in some way to remind yourself. For instance, WASHING POWDER HERE, PEPIJN in water resistant sharpie or something.

@Pepijn that's the kind of structuralist solution oriented problem solving I bring to the table, Pepijn.

Any ideas for climate change? Like, not how to fix it globally, but just for Jutland?

@Pepijn The big one to the left, often labelled II is for normal washing programs. The small white tray to the right, often labeled I, is if you do a longer "prewash" for extra dirty clothes program, in which case you should put washing powder/liquid in both trays. Blue is for softener (I use non-seasoned vinegar if I remember to do it).
