            I would suggest that Rosalind Franklin's crystal radiography was crucial in discovering the structure of DNA. And that she didn't 'help', her work was stolen to do it. She was treated horribly by the people actually credited with the discovery.

            Institutionalised mysogny aside, I love fibre art and I love that people took the time to make those cable patterns.

              @terrymatz And yet in Northampton (UK) we have a questionable sculpture to Watson and Crick and no mention of her. I know that Crick was born in the Town but it has always annoyed me, especially when he was shown Franklin's work without her permission.
