I'll say it again: Trump is an abuser. Everybody who's been a victim and/or worked with victims knows this pattern: as accountability closes in, the abuser lashes out. But they're cowards. They attack the victims. They make all kinds of threats to those bringing accountability but can't follow through on that. So they attack those they were already able to hurt.
At the national/international level, this is what that behavior looks like.

I am sickened to see it but know that it is happening because the resistance is winning. These are desperate, flailing moves that are further alienating even the MAGA base. We WILL put a stop to it. The sooner everybody else gets out in the streets, the fewer people have to die before it ends.

Oh Lord yes. I truly believe the state should not have the power to execute people even in the worst cases, but boy do situations like this test my convictions. -

I would never argue for capital punishment. I'd always fight it vehemently. However, I do understand why the Nürnberg trials reached their verdicts.
