@inthehands I admire your optimism and take here. I agree that they're in the consolidation phase. I think they also used this exercise to evaluate response and how the courts, etc. would react to future power-grabs. I look for a big ICE build-up and strikes in the ~six weeks before the midterms to try to destabilize the election and consolidate power.

I think y'all have set a great example for the rest of the country. I wish I could buy you all a beer and hug all the people who have done the needful and displayed the kind of bravery that the U.S. used to be famous for.

(I am not in any way demeaning farm labor or janitors. I have profound respect for the people who pick our food and those who keep things clean.

But having the wealthy and powerful serving time while wearing overalls and harvesting lettuce, or mopping floors seems like appropriate punishment. Imagine the Epstein Class, Bondi, JD and Miller out in a field, in dirt... being overseen by members of the UFW. )

What hurt them, was the fascist spectacle that they made of themselves for all the world to see.

At the same time they are still rushing to build mega concentration camps. And they talk nice because they preferably need the signature of some Democrats under the DHS appropriations, to make the medicine go down a little smoother.
