    What's happening to Palestinians is the same level of atrocity as chattel slavery.

    If you lived during a time when slavery was happening, openly and in front of your face, would you just be like, "Fuck it, nothing I can do about it. Those peoples lives don't matter to me."

    Apparently for millions of people in the US, the answer is yes, they will watch as their government takes part in the brutal genocide of the Palestinian people, and now the people of Lebanon.

    If you vote for a politician who doesn't vehemently and passionately defend Palestinian lives and liberty ... you are failing as a human being.

    It doesn't matter what happens to us.

    What matters is what is happening to Palestinians.

    If people in the US make support for genocidal Israel a zero tolerance issue - the politicians will bend. And if they don't, well, I guess we know where things stand and can act accordingly.

    Palestinians deserve none of this misery. I couldn't give a fuck if the US collapses into Gilead and I'm put on the wall. I will NEVER SUPPORT ANY PERSON WHO DOES NOT SUPPORT PALESTINIAN FREEDOM.

      @arrrg

      America has already become like Fascist Italy and Francoist Spain in this regard.

      It is absurd to believe fascism abroad will not become fascism here. In a sense, it already is here

        @arrrg "you can only secure your rights by consenting to crimes of lese humanity" is the deal liberals offer now and that they offered white union members one hundred years ago. History hasn't smiled on that particular bargain

          @burnoutqueen @arrrg I mean, pretty damn fair to say always has been, maybe a bit more obvious for more folks, maybe a little bit more ability to get more news and communicate with each other, but ain't much changed between today and ten, twenty, forty, eighty, etc years ago

            "All happy families are alike...<koff>"

            <shakes head and holds out hand>

            <is handed a new script>

            <double take>

            <reads anyway>

            "All happy families are alike;"

            <raises eyebrow>

            "...each family living under a deranged regime suppresses dissent in defiance of it's constitution through mass surveillance, media manipulation, arbitrary detention, economic-self dealing, and the techno-erasure of its critics in the capital-driven Christo-fascist oligarchy's own way.
