Holy shit you guys we just watched #Artemis go from the plane

I think from the plane's perspective they were far enough away, but from the ground the plane looked close enough to the rocket to make me scrunch up my face and try to do mental math involving a rocket traveling south on a vertical incline 100 degrees at 7.8 to 7.9 kms/s and a plane traveling north at 965 km/hr.....
adjust for wind, carry the one, try not to have a small heart attack.... -

Just to say, in reality it wouldn’t matter, not like in a small boat.
But if everyone ran to the front or back, that would indeed be catastrophic. -
@samvarma Did you know you’d be flying during the launch, chose the side of the plane accordingly? Or was it sheer luck? Did the pilot announce it before you saw it? It must’ve been very exciting.
Anyway, what a wonderful way to have seen the launch.
