@futurebird While indeed, these creatures have incredibly complex eyes, the imagination it takes to think of how creatures see us is a wonderful next level. It reminds me of a recent interview of a writer who talks about the sublime--ie, the interspecies sublime-- and sublime experiences. (ie, JA Baker's Peregrine.) What a gift you give to your students to inspire their imaginations and curiosity. And a gift you give to us as well. I wish you well.

The quote permission setting lets you stop people quoting you, but it doesn't cause the "post pending" message.
As far as I know "post pending" is due to it taking a while to verify the permission to quote, but it does usually quote correctly in the end. For what it's worth, the quote by @futurebird does appear correctly at this end without any "post pending" messages, so it's federated by now.
