Oooo, really neat, love this, I've always liked artists who do stuff like this

@cmconseils
Escheresque!@sloanlance I thought so too, but not listed amongst his influences.
Still, it has the same draw to me. His gallery is just gorgeous.

@cmconseils the design is not thaaat good if you always have to rely on tons of ships and the mood of the clouds. doesnt look that reliable

@Captain_Jack_Sparrow @cmconseils alas AI is trained on the work of actual artists, and so sometimes their art might evoke that, which tbh fucking sucks.
Rob died in 2017, and these are on his gallery website, so thankfully not the Exploitation Machines
https://www.robgonsalves.live/galleryGood ways to tell (besides trying to prove provenance*, like above) include looking for "logic" in the piece--are things like architectural details sustained, is the lighting continuous, would a human make this choice?
They're very clever paintings as well as being beautiful. reminds me of Escher in a way.

@Captain_Jack_Sparrow @cmconseils damn think how much more at peace I’d be if I’d died before AI

@chuff @cmconseils Reminds me somewhat of Escher's pictures

@cmconseils I just don't like the car on the bridge - that somehow is something that I don't like in a dreamy mood like that. I'd prefer a world w/o cars... Maybe an elven king on a giant moose would match better for me. But that is just my very personal taste.

they look a bit ai-ish , hopefully they're the real thing though
@Captain_Jack_Sparrow
The upper half was the cover of "Masters of Deception", published in 2007, so no worries

@cmconseils Thank you for these!!! I instantly think of Ocampo, although arguably there's more Escher here. Regardless, lovely and I am very grateful to see these!
