@jon @acb I am surprised that you don't have a mobile data plan with lots of EU roaming included. But maybe such are not available at a reasonable price in France?

(Personally I almost never bother looking for WiFi in trains when in the EU. And the Nordics and Baltics don't even count as being abroad for my operator, so unlimited data.)

@tml @jon @acb can’t answer for Jon ofc but FWIW French mobile plans are amongst Europe’s cheapest surprisingly enough. For reference, I pay about 15€ for 150GB domestic and 25GB abroad and this plan is just “ok” but not a a particularly good deal.

@jon Stockholm–Malmö might seem like a rather short trip for a night train, but it's a train I'm actually using a lot for my travels from and to Finland. Timetable works well with the ferries, and with Interrail, it's really good value for money.

The sleeper reservation includes a luxurious breakfast buffet at a hotel in Malmö, which is great. Tip: If you don't have time for that, you also have access to the SJ Lounge at Malmö C where light breakfast is served.

@kobold They let me down every three months or so. It's usually DB that saves the day with their absolutely massive and high-frequency network

@Pepijn @markiejiang @jon that's a good one, DB let's me down every single time I need to get to the office. It got so bad I now need to drive to the edge of the city and take local transport from there.

To be fair, DB fixed, or is doing so right now, three out of five tracks leading from my home town, maybe, some day, they might fix the main line towards Munich, too.

@sebwilken Ah that's how it works. That was not explained in English, and no one checked any tickets on board. But I had to run for the train to Kbh. And the beds are super comfortable - I slept soundly.
