seriously, my daughter got me an electric tea kettle so what i do, I put the pasta in a small volume of water on the stove, and heat some water in the tea kettle and it works out well for me

@failedLyndonLaRouchite @cmconseils amateur! You can bypass stove use entirely - just put the pasta in the kettle and keep your finger on the on button until it's ready ...
It should be easier these days as there's no exposed element for the pasta to get stuck under, unlike when I was in uni.....
