The annual migration to their ancestral breeding grounds of the antlered giant prairie snail is a rare, but inspiring sight for any human to behold ...

Going viral again?

After facebook, reddit, instagram... etc...

@Natasha_Jay You're happily eating your salad, then find one on the lettuce.

Absolutely lovely.

I don’t want to spoil the fun. Just an observation on myself I make constantly when watching such images. The question AI Slop or not?

It is exhausting living in these times when even just simple fun is being taken from us. 🥲

But I will focus the fun and want to ask another question: #snaildeer or #deersnail?

@xs4me2
I'm only on a Bluesky account I use to follow a few trans folk, but yes ... earliest date I can see via Google lens is September 6th.

@Natasha_Jay

Humorous image though

On second thought it's not entirely a coincidence, the dear deer are chilling in the shadow of the hay

[natasha_jay@tech.lgbt]

@robertobottoni
I admit I check more rigurously on my Art posts. Those I really check these days.

Sometimes after 30 minutes I'll come to the conclusion it's AI or probably AI. The latest thing is pictures which are plausible for a contemporary artist and attributed to them, but not real. And people don't check.

Then there's digital artists like Kaoru Yamada whose work I like, but it's AI assisted and he churns them out ...

So yeah ‍️

@Natasha_Jay Can i get to Know more about you , if you dont mind ??

[robertobottoni@troet.cafe]

@Natasha_Jay
That adds to it. You are forced to spend more time just to make sure to stay within your values. 30 minutes are an awful lot of time that these guys take from you and us.

Keep posting no matter what. It still stays as fun that any of us needs to stay healthy.

@Natasha_Jay@tech.lgbt giant prairie snail -

[thorium@social.linux.pizza]

@Natasha_Jay Very, very slow migration. They just reach their winter range and immediately have to start for their summer grounds.

@Natasha_Jay
Is the migration as leisurely as one would hope, Natasha?

[cauzation@mastodon.social]

@Natasha_Jay These are camouflaged ant lures. Looks like they snailed it!

[numodular@c.im]

@Guillotine_Jones @Natasha_Jay The punchline is a real haymaker.

[guillotine_jones@beige.party]

@numodular @Natasha_Jay
I, for one, see what you did there.

[shadowfals@toot.cat]

@Natasha_Jay cute, but I'm tired of the posting other people's photos as if it's yours. Blocking.

[oldmikie@mastodon.social]

@Natasha_Jay That is funny
