4kb limit, sounds solarpunk, but often it involves significant wattage from an oversized discrete GPU...

And most of the popular livecode platforms run on the web... Is JavaScript solarpunk?

@bugbear as someone who's not smoking but vaping , and doing this for four years now only with the energy from my off-grid solar system (no joke. i also charge my power banks for the to-go situations, so my vaping device is 100% solar powered since then), i would say this is definitely solar punk from my perspective ️ @jollysea @prahou

Well, Atari and C64 didn't need GPUs to program. And livecoding _some_ stuff doesn't need either (Pure Data for example for music).

The meaning of the terms "demo scene" and "live coding" might have changed since back then. I don't now.

@the_dot_matrix @prahou When I think of JavaScript, I think of Brendan Eich, who hates gay people, Laurie Voss, who hates unions, and Vercel, who hates the entire planet. I think a sweaty Bulgarian kid filled with yerba mate livecoding with Chicken Scheme on a Raspberry Pi is probably solarpunk, however.
