pattern analysis is not the same as chatbot nor image generator, actually. i really wish we had distinct terms (oh wait we do)

️ walked right into this when we decided to call any of this "intelligence". You know, because it isn't. None of it is.
It's a tough bell to un-ring, not least because it's been chiming for many decades, but a place to start would be to call all forms of data wrangling things that don't include "intelligence" at all. The word can't be won back - but the fields of knowledge can.

@jwcph oh absolutely. intelligence is a ridiculous term to use for anything but marketing. machine pattern recognition and image/text generation are perfectly suitable
