The point is the bias is reporting, not anything related to meat eating itself, no matter how anyone feels about it. Additionally, all food prices are higher, not just meat, so a substitution is unlikely to occur.Nothing is more particularly affordable than another thing, due to Trump’s economic policy incompetence.

@oz_nazhad Furthermore, meat is generally the most affordable food source for lower and middle income households, so “just go vegetarian” isn’t helpful for them by itself.

if you go to poorer countries, people generally eat more beans and lentils. and when there are cuts to public service canteens, staff will talk about how they're forces to use legumes instead of flesh. under the austerity policies in argentina, people complain that they can no longer afford meat.
