On tuesday at 16:30 at #MellemfolkeligtSamvirkeAarhus, we discuss what tools we as activists are using for internal communication, specifically looking into Matrix (and the Matrix-based app 'Acter').
We've used Signal so far, with broadcast vs working group chats, and our shared docs on cryptpad - but some people don't have a smartphone, which is a requirement to use Signal... So to make our group more accessible (and our communications more organised) we're considering other options.

@DigitalLiteracy_Aarhus I use Matrix a lot, and have been using it for several years. I'd like to warn that Matrix has severe moderation (and thus safety) issues. You might not be affected for years to come, but it's a real risk that doesn't seem to get addressed. Matrix also has a not-so-open governance model with a company having much control. Of course, the latter is even more the case with Signal.
