Just bought a modular and repairable bluetooth speaker for when I'm working at the plant nursery.

Just bought a modular and repairable bluetooth speaker for when I'm working at the plant nursery. Happy to say it just worked beautifully directly out of the box! Free Open Source tech doesn't mean it's complicated. Glad to support this company in a market awash with short-sighted tech https://www.shift.eco/en/shiftsound-sp #Shift #FOSH #RightToRepair

@malte Looks like a nice product and the #reparability is a huge plus. It doesn't look like it has anything to do with being open source, though. At least I can't find any information that claims the hardware and/or software design to be open source.
On the other hand there is the Teufel Mynd speaker, that has all design data freely available which combined with a #cradletocradle concept is a huge step forward that other manufacturers should follow.

@frisch Good catch! I had in my notes that the same company made a laptop with open source components so I assumed the speaker would be the same. Now I can't find a trace of this and wonder if I misunderstood something.
