My favorite album the last half year is probably Boards of Canada - Inferno. The tracks that stand out to me are 'Prophecy at 1420 MHz' and 'Naraka' (sanskrit for Hell).

Favorite dance music track lately is 'Feel So Good Around You' by LB aka LABAT. A fusion of drum & bass, house, UK garage, techno and more. Plus I think Baptistin Cabalou looks kind of hot.

Favorite hip-hop record is 'Life Is Beautiful' by Larry June, 2 Chainz and Alchemist. This record has gotten a lot of bad reception. I think it's the perfect mature person hip-hop album with Larry June's slow going combination of west coast cali energy and southern Atlanta energy and Alchemist's east coast elevated sampling style.

Strong personal story behind that song and an artist that decided to ditch her evil record label (Universal owned Republic Records) to express herself more independently. Respect!

Favorite collaboration is Milton Nascimento and Esperanza Spalding on their 2024 album Milton + esperanza. Two icons from each their own generations and you feel the deeply personal appreciation between them. Quite touching actually and brings me to tears almost every time I hear it.
