The new abortion law will be back in the Faroese Parliament tomorrow, the 2. Desember.
The law is not going to pass because a social democrat, Djóni Nølsøe, will be voting against giving women and others who need an abortion the right to bodily autonomy.

The law is not going to pass because a social democrat, Djóni Nølsøe, will be voting against giving women and others who need an abortion the right to bodily autonomy.
A 180 change has happened. Another social democrat, Súsanna, has stepped down from her position in government and thus takes back her seat in parliament. Her government position was then given to Djóna, who lost that very same position yesterday.
So it now looks like the new abortion law will pass by a single vote in favour 🥳

One of the anti-abortion folks actually fucking did the classic "what's between your legs" question when she was trying to figure out how many of us were men and women. So that's the first time I've actually been asked that fucked up question by someone (and they really meant it) lol

️While I'd want the law to be way more open (as I mentioned in the interview I did), if not completely abolished, the new law is so much better than the previous one.
(The law that was passed yesterday is very similar to the old Danish abortion law)
