@LaChasseuse As much as I like and appreciate this post, I like it even more in the original uncropped 16:9 landscape format.

The composition of the original camera work and directorial decisions are worth saving and sharing.

@randywalters I agree, but there's always someone who scolds me if I post a YT link directly, so I went with the cropped version that was posted on another site.

@LaChasseuse I had forgotten what a good actor McKellan is. He is breath taking!

Was that speech from a Shakespeare play? Which one?

@mysturji Not 'a Shakespeare play' as such, but one he was involved in, collaboratively: Sir Thoms More, written by a number of playwrights in the late 16th century. Shakespeare is BELIEVED to have written this part of it (this speech by More), which is in Act II, Scene 4. More was a real person, who lived 1478-1535.

@nohaironheed Both points entirely true, but it does further embolden those that do watch, knowing that literature and history are on their side, allowing them to argue even harder with the MAGAts they encounter.

The Sheep and the Goats is also a handy one for that; "I was a stranger, and you took me in"

@LaChasseuse exquisite in recitation and meaning, a master class in humanity, written centuries ago but presented by modern master. BRAVO
