When enough white Americans turn against government authoritarianism/fascism, then things start to shift.
We don’t need all the Trump/MAGA cultists to wake up — just enough white Americans to see this as their struggle too. It shouldn’t be this way, but that has been American history.

@danwentzel Sad to say we're probably going to need a dozen or so more dead white women before that happens, and at least one of them will need to be heterosexual.

@danwentzel @JonChevreau I would like to think that we’ve hit a turning point. Only thing is, I thought we had hit one with the George Floyd protests, and most of the good that came out of those have been reversed. I guess the narrative just has to be continually hammered in, no letting up.

@danwentzel the coming 2026 midterm elections will be a strong indicator. If the USA has woken up or if they intend to stay the course. The world will have to respond, only the pace will vary.

@Thumper1964 @danwentzel @JonChevreau there was never the follow-through. you need to actually purge these operations of the bad people. and if you can't, kill it. obama had eight years to abolish ICE. he didn't do it. he didn't even close guantanamo. crimes of the previous administration went unpunished and we're in the absolute downstream of that. there was no reconciliation, there was just the fucking nazis realising there were never any consequences.
