But this is not an accurate statement. It’s true of electrical grids, but that is not the total energy expenditure of a nation, particularly in industry.
For instance, rather than looking at the grid energy of China if you include the industrial production and consumption of energy that’s on site. China’s energy balance is only 10% renewable.
