    @infobeautiful I've been confused about this whole bun vs. roll controversy ever since elementary school. Now I understand.

      @infobeautiful Whenever I see a "scone rhymes with" thing, I start questioning the proper pronunciation of the other words.

        @infobeautiful Which one would you recommend we use for dividing and conquering the UK?

            @infobeautiful Why is sensible English labeled "Old English with Viking"?

            THERE IS NO "R" OR "H" IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE "A" IN BATH OR PATH OR GRASS, YOU RIDICULOUS SOUTHERNERS!

            @ibboard @infobeautiful did they mean "Norman French dialect of English adopted in a pathetic attempt to impress the occupiers?"

              @Rastal @infobeautiful #8 is "pal" an indicator of friendship or a threat?

                  @ASprinkleofSage @infobeautiful Friendship.

                  Only in the context of sarcasm (like in movies) would it mean anything other than friend.

                      @theTangentSpace @infobeautiful For me, the u in but is very much at the "uh" end, quite far down into the throat and the one in put is much higher up in the throat, a bit closer in tone to a very short "oo" like in "look", if that makes any sense.
