    @MFennVT
    Yesterday, at 5:00 p.m., before the fog came back, we went on a 2-mile hike in our t-shirts. In the middle of the summer! It wasn't right.

        We've been having a lot of unseasonably perfect weather these last few weeks. Blue skies, nice temperatures... all that boring crap instead of our usual cold and foggy days.

        Anyway... last night, around 11:30, Chris shouted that the fog was back so I grabbed my camera and joined him on the side deck. It was pretty dark out there so I didn't expect to get anything decent - not without a tripod and remote shutter - but I was surprised. The picture just needed a little noise reduction and a tiny bit of that thing you do with the curves.

        So here's the fog, at 79 mm, f/3.2, ISO 6400, for 1/10 of a second, handheld.

          I believe pictures should be framed to keep them from visually spilling out across the background. If you don't have a frame, torn edges will do just fine 👍

                        @cvvhrn I'm always happy when I can grab a steady night shot without setting up the tripod.

                        Next up: to do this again with a tripod and an ND filter. I think a long exposure, smearing the fog, with greater DOF and sharpness, would be cool.
