I didn’t watch the Super Bowl. Once Chicago was eliminated in the playoffs, I lost interest. Besides, for years, I haven’t been big on all the Super Bowl hype. That said, I was tracking the snowflake TPUSA counter halftime debacle and what apparently was a really well-received Bad Bunny performance along with Green Day’s pre-game show which made MAGA heads explode that much more. I’m glad the Santa Clara show turned out well and the message was outstanding and needed.

#TogetherWeAreAmerica@BrianJopek there are articles online reporting that Green Day was just there to play and didn't go off script like people expected/feared they would do.
Ummm, do they have any idea what the song American Idiot is about?
I find it deliciously funny that the only part of American Idiot that got bleeped out of broadcast was the f-bomb in the third verse. That's just about the only word in the song that wasn't political.

I'm relatively certain that many people today do not understand how music actually works

@BrianJopek@suzannealdrich cue the evergreen observation about people cluelessly blasting Rage Against the Machine without the self awareness that they’re the villains in those songs.
