Why can I not see all the threads?
-
When I'm logged in, I can only see four threads in this community. If I go to the community in a private window without being logged in, I can read all the threads. My user is on the same instance, so I should be able to see all threads - this can't be a federation issue. What's going wrong?

You probably have the hiding of read posts turned on.

Youre either hiding read posts or your sort is to a timeframe.

You probably have English disabled in your account settings. Make sure you at least have Undetermined and English selected to see the majority of english posts.

I once had something like this happen in another community, and I realized I had blocked one of the active contributors to the community due to me finding them annoying elsewhere. So that's also a possibility, I guess.

This was the solution, thanks!
