Israel has elections scheduled for 2026, so of course a forever-war is convenient for their leader who would otherwise be standing trial at ICC for war crimes and genocide... well either it's ICC or the corruption charges at home.

This is a very serious incentive they both have. That's why the negotiations with Iran didn't matter when Trump and Netanyahu knew they could have a HUGE war with Khamenei's assassination as an initial success.
