I seem to have changed some setting in @Vivaldi unintentionally, meaning that PDFs aren't being opened in browser. I've tried resetting download settings, but I cannot for the life of me get back to the behavior I had before.
When I click a link of a PDF file, I would like Vivaldi to ask if I want to open or save the file. If I click open (as in, in the browser) I really don't want to be asked where to save the file.
Help!

I'm guessing you disabled the internal PDF viewer in Settings > Webpages > Plugins.

@Vivaldi no, BUT I tried disabling it and enabling it again, and I think it did the trick!

@Vivaldi I spoke too soon. Is this expected behavior? I could swear it didn't use to work like this.
I want the option of either saving or opening, but when I click Open I don't expect a second dialog, asking where I want to save the file. Make sense?

No, this is not expected and we could not reproduce it on our side either.
Please test this in a new User Profile (https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/tools/user-profiles/). If you can't reproduce it there, then something, like an extension, may be causing the issue in your main profile.

@Vivaldi thanks very much! I did a clean profile and that solved the problem. I've also readded all of my extensions and the problem hasn't come back (yet). So I wonder what it might be…
