Considering ditching my iPhone for a @Fairphone, possible with degoogled @murena e/OS. It seems then, however, that NFC payments aren't possible? Can anyone confirm?
@daniel
NFC payments with Murena do work, what doesn't work is Google Wallet/Pay. https://gaelduval.com/practical-payment-solutions-for-murena-and-e-os-users/The summary: use Curve.

@joxean @Fairphone @murena thanks!

No idea, but I'll be interested in your experience.
@dhobern just realizing that MitID might be the bigger issue here. Ug.

@dhobern Aww, don't you miss it?

I left in 2019. Back then, it was NemID. Maybe it was less an issue for phones back then?

@dhobern The MitID app is suuuuper strict and almost imposible to work with. If you lose your phone, you're fxxxed. NemID at least had the offline option with the one-time code card. Now that that I think about, MitID does have a similar option, but it means carrying around one of these things…

@daniel @Fairphone @murena I have a Fairphone with LineageOS and I don't feel like a caveman for not being able to do NFC payments and having to use the "kodeviser" for MitID. In fact, I've never thought about it. Don't let the convenience icing on the cake keep you from doing the better thing[1].
[1]The even better thing is sticking to your iPhone until it's dead and THEN getting a Fairphone[2]

@decibyte excellent points! I wonder if the MitID (NFC) chip would work. That's probably wishful thinking…
Why LineageOS?

Why LineageOS?
@daniel It was just what seemed like the natural step towards a degoogled phone that came with Android. I don't have strong opinions about the various options out there. I'm also using MicroG, so I'm probably very close to the /e/ experience.
