In 2024, meetup.com charged something around $50 / 6 months for hosting Django Copenhagen. Then suddenly, it went to $100 / 6 months = $200 per year.
But Meetup.com sucks, there's no reach, no interaction. Everything died because meetup.com killed their own platform in spam, so no one reads messages from there anymore.
Really feeling like closing this thing, but it's kind of hard to let go of that nice manifestation of members (526 today). But feels like the only right thing to do.

@benjaoming in my experience Meetup has always had a problem with notifications. It's hard to manage the notifications so you get what you actually want. For me that resulted in me turning off all notifications and eventually forgetting about the platform. Way to shoot yourself in the foot IMO
