So I set up an account on Pixelfed yesterday. Now there's another one of me on here also?

Was I supposed to use my already existing Mastodon account to log in?

If so, can I merge the two accounts, somehow?

Each server is totally independent, so when you sign up on a server your account is just on that server.

When you signed up on mastodon.social, that gave you an account on mastodon.social.

When you signed up on a Pixelfed server, it gave you an account on that Pixelfed server.
