What are you using to access Mastodon? Is it a particular app? Is it the website?

Could you try using the website for your server? For you that's https://mastodon.social
Also, could try boosting my reply specifically? I want to see what the notification looks like from my end

@FediTips yep i can boost/quote from the website. Hm… so app specific or phone settings on app restriction specific. Weird

Okay, that's good, it means your account and server are working
You might want to switch to a web app or a third party app store app, most people prefer them to the official app. I've done a guide to all the options at https://fedi.tips/which-apps-can-i-use-should-i-use-the-official-app-or-a-third-party-app
Mastodon was originally designed for the web and third party apps. They only introduced the official app store app because so many people were searching the app stores for the word "Mastodon".

@FediTips also… i couldn’t boost your reply in the app so I had to boost your reply from the website first, then i could unboost it and reboost it within the app. But the app still won’t let me boost any of your other replies.

Yup, you can use that account on any Mastodon-compatible app

I would definitely try switching to a third party app or the web app.

@FediTips finally got around to moving after testing a few different apps. Everything working now and wow I had a lot of missed notifications!
