So, I got around to reflash #postmarketos on my oneplus 6T - the latest stable plasma mobile version.
The good:
I can make calls, recieve calls, talk and listen.
I can use SMS
I can record and play sound with recorder app
Angelfish browser works relatively well
Settings app is somewhat usable
GPS reacts somehowThe bad:
Plasma mobile is more or less unusable.
- kde connect does not work (did earlier)
- dolphin is horrible. Weird sidebars that there is no room for, no context menus. Really bad. I wonder if what I got was actually meant for mobile use.
- discover has some of the same issues, not designed for mobile.
- image viewer (koko) can't display jpeg images.
- almost impossible to add wallpapers (I remember that working better last time)
- camera doesn't work well
- No GPS fix as of yetI love KDE and Plasma on my laptop, but mobile version is not usable with key apps not being mobile friendly.
So, on to trying gnome mobile ...

@anderslund gnome-mobile is amazing however @phosh is probably the most usable for daily driving right now.

Update: I got #kdeconnect working, after a reboot and some fiddeling. Partially. I could connect my android phone, but not my laptop, so sending files is sometimes a multistep process.
But most of the #KDE apps are not really usable. No context menus, horrible ui for mobile. I wonder if the fact that I had to set scaling to minimum 250 makes them think they are on a desktop?
Some websites, like a nextcloud server, qwant, does not think #angelfish supports javascript. Firefox to the rescue.
I remember things working better last time I tried.

I saw a video with someone saying that he ended up with gnome mobile on a oneplus 6T, which is what I have. I have not had the problems he mentioned wrt plasma mobile though, for example I can use the phone functionality just fine.
I'll have to test both other shells also, but I am still trying to get Plasma Mobile to work for me. I have gotten kde connect to work better - now my laptop is connected, so that I can share clipboard and use the laptop keyboard to type in the phone, which is very nice for terminal.
I'm in need of a decent image viewer, that can browse directories, swipe between images and have full screen support that does not require a reboot to end it. Suggestions?

More on this:
Now I have two android devices and my laptop connected to the linuxphone with kde connect. I can use the laptop keyboard to type into the terminal on the phone, which is really cool. Only think I know to not work wrt kdeconnect is sending files between the laptop and the linuxphone, works fine from/to the androids.Suddenly, those devices just became availble - odd, but nice.
Bluetooth works fin, I'm listening to music on a bt speaker streamed from High Tide as I write.
Phone calls works, but it's kinda fragile, for example I couldn't hear sound from a call after testing sounds in the plasma mobile sound settings panel. Fixable, but not-so-nice.
Right now, firefox won't work at all - running from terminal, nothing happens simply. After reinstalling an deleting ~/.mozilla, even.

One thing to note: kdeconnect will stop a music player on a device when some other device plays a nottification sound or another phone rings. On the postmarket os system, sound playung isn't started again.

@postmarketOS @plasmamobile The flatpak version of photos/koko actually does show jpeg files, so there is some issue with the alpine/pmos version.

@anderslund @postmarketOS @plasmamobile Looks similar to the situation with angelfish browser.

I haven't experieced that issue with angelfish. It does not work with nextcloud or qwant, thy complain of missing javascript support. But maybe setting an env var will make firefox run here again (it stopped working during my fights)
