Thank you very much for pointing that out. Yes, I was aware that this event was not part of the scientific program and part of some protocol.And yes, I am pretty sure that I was falling for the public outrage, and intuitively would have followed the dresscode if I had been there. Still I feel like there is some clash of two "cultures".
@jonasgraphie that’s right. If you are at a visit of the president of your country you also need to follow the dress code. And the dress code changes per country.
