The whole story is this: From the beginning (1900) the Haparanda line had its own track all the way to Boden C, parallell to Malmbanan ("the Ore line".) 1921 the ore train bypass at Boden C was built and Malmbanan and the Haparanda line switched tracks north of Boden with the Haparanda line crossing Malmbanan by bridge. The purpose was to minimise the conflicts between the iron ore trains and other traffic. ->

@jon You can change directly from ECE 5 to TGV 9580 in Karlsruhe, skipping the regional train between Offenburg - Strasbourg.

I guess the reservation fee is slightly higher for this though? But it does make the trip simpler.

@kobold @jon This is comical. Someone’s losing half a day because of the incompetence of Swedish railways (it has to be said; it happens too frequently on that line for just bad luck) and people still make it about DB. How obsessed can one be.
